IED Graduation Day: Celebrating the first generation of of transdisciplinary mobility designers!
Two years ago, we started to shape and coordinate the Master of Arts in Transdisciplinary Mobility Design at IED. Today, the very first batch of students graduated from the programme.
Reaching this milestone has been an amazing journey for Granstudio. Working on the full mobility spectrum with students from across the globe and with backgrounds in completely different fields has been refreshing on many fronts.

A Transdisciplinary Approach to Design
Being a Transdisciplinary Design Studio, combining diverse skills and expertise is indeed key for us to move beyond just isolated incremental improvements. Adopting a transdisciplinary approach is essential to truly drive innovation, and better how we move, and live as a society.
Transmitting this approach and mindset has been central to the entire master’s program. By integrating fields ranging from human sciences to technology and city making, we equipped students with the knowledge and skills to deal with complexity, and to connect the dots across scales and subjects.
We are immensely happy Granstudio’s approach to mobility design has become a paradigm for a new generation of transdisciplinary mobility designers that will shape tomorrow’s world.
